Erica Sterling is currently the Webmaster and Applications Developer II of the Information Technology department at Cheyney University of PA in Cheyney, PA. She joined the Cheyney University family in March 2008.

Ms. Sterling is a Drexel University graduate and worked at Drexel while pursuing a BS degree in Chemical Engineering. Ms. Sterling worked at Drexel for 8 years in the following positions:  Web Content Management Specialist, Special Projects Coordinator, and a Research Project Engineer for the School of Biomedical Engineering, Science & Health Systems. She has also worked at BP Oil Company in Marcus Hook, PA, Merck and Co., Inc. in Rahway, NJ and GlaxoSmithKline in King of Prussia, PA as a chemical engineer.

Ms. Sterling changed careers to become a Website Developer after a leaving GlaxoSmithKline. She has over 13 years of experience of creating websites and web based training applications. Ms. Sterling interned and was hired as an Instructional Media Designer for Brookwood Media Arts in Lower Gwynedd, PA. She later became the webmaster of Brandywine Realty Trustís building services website called for 3 years in Radnor, PA. Shortly before coming to Cheyney University, she worked as a web developer for the American College of Physicians (ACP) in center city Philadelphia, PA.

In her spare time, Ms. Sterling enjoys creating websites for small businesses and nonprofits and also teaching internet, blogging and web design classes at her church, Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church and the Mount Airy Learning Tree. To learn more about Ms. Sterling, please visit her blog at
